Lesson EDT 12: NIGHT DRIVING

When you have done lesson 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th & 8th EDTs with an ADI
(Approved Driving Instructor) . You can do lessons 9, 10, 11, & 12 EDTs in the order to suit you.
After taking 8hrs EDT & practice, you should be able to drive with a minimum of instruction & will be able to take on tuition from dusk to dawn. The objective of lesson 12 are:
1) Use your vehicle light correctly:
2) Respond correctly to the light of other road users.
You should also be able to maintain full control of the vehicle while:
3) Driving through traffic in the dark;
4) Or poor lighting conditions
The lesson will be conducted in in a variety of road conditions, including urban & rural roads with interaction with other roads users.
At the end of the tuition you should be able to drive safely in the dark in lighted & poor lighting area. Describe the symptoms of poor night visions & how to deal with it. You also should be able to deal with vehicle lighting & appropriate response to other vehicle lightning, including emergency vehicle lightning as well.
If you are struggling with lesson 12 (EDT), maybe more practice with an ADI, your sponsor, or both would be advisable as lesson 12 is very challenging (the RSA are recommending 3 hours tuition between each EDT).
